Turn off the phone!!

Monday, September 18th, 2006

I LOVE this video - a prof doesn’t take kindly to a student talking on his cellphone in the middle of class.

Hang up the phone and listen; you might learn something.

Fire Up, It’s Saturday!!!

Here are a couple of not-so-great videos of the Michigan Marching Band that I shot prior to the game against Vanderbilt. These were both shot using a digital camera, with it’s “short video mode” rather than a full-fledged video camera; hence the resolution and sound aren’t so hot. There’s also no such thing as steady-shot…

Anyway, today’s the Notre Dame, a match-up of two great football programs.

Maybe these videos will inspire you to ignore the family and watch the game. I will be at a buddie’s wedding and he better be saying his “I do” prior to kick-off.

The first video is the U of M Marching Band pre-game entry into the stadium, one of those hair up on the back of my neck moments. Go Blue!

The second video is from the drumline’s pre-game routine outside Revelli Hall, their practice facility.

Eva Longoria convinced she’s not another David Caruso

Monday, September 11th, 2006

Eva Longoria, after two seasons on television, and a single movie that didn’t exactly overwhelm audiences, announces that Desperate Housewives will be the last (only?) television series that she will appear in.

Has she talked to David Caruso about how well his movie career went, after he left NYPD Blue?

Is Jade available on DVD?

Breaking: Schumacher Retiring at Season End!!!

Sunday, September 10th, 2006

Michael Schumacher just announced at the Italian Grand Prix post-race press conference that this will be his last season as a Formula One driver.

Speculation was rampant over the weekend about Ferrari trying to force him out, with rumors of him possibly ending up at McLaren, where he started his career.

Michael and Ferrari drove an exceptional race today, bringing his car home P1. Alonso’s Renault suffered engine failure within the last 10 laps, dropping him out of the points, and bringing the championship battle to the fore. A bare two points separate Alonso and Michael.

I will post links to the interview transcripts after they’re posted online.

BBC News story on Michael’s retirement.

Speed has a story online now.

Here is a release from Ferrari about Michael’s retirement.
