Just like being stuck behind a slow car when I’m in a hurry, right now I find myself working on an important assignment, and the tools I need are either down, causing me to get really frustrated.
I’m trying to look up some authority and ranking information for a variety of blogs, using Technorati , but no, it’s down.
How can a site this big and important have performance issues?
They recently re-did the site, with a streamlined and improved interface. Surely they spent some of that time working on the underlying architecture?

JibJab recently released another fine clip.
This time they take on the news media and the changes wrought by 24 hour cable news, our short attention spans and, well, what was I saying?

I finally viewed this Will Ferrell video. Hilarious!

I just watched the following clip, of Mark Frauenfelder’s appearance on The Colbert Report.
Mark is the editor of MAKE magazine and also editor of BoingBoing.net , one of the most popular blogs, period.
If you’ve never heard of MAKE or BoingBoing, check ‘em both out.

Anybody out there familiar with The Venice Project ?
The folks behind Skype and Kazaa are now focusing their efforts on streaming television.
The project is in alpha stage, but apparently early adopters will start receiving invites to allow others to join.
If anybody has an invite to share, pick me, pick me! There was something about groveling for an invite on the project web site, so here’s my grovel.

The Michigan Men’s Glee Club, singing The Yellow and Blue, on the Diag, the evening that Bo Schembechler passed away.
I captured this during a brief memorial service that was held. The quality isn’t great, but I hope any Wolverines out there enjoy it.
