Check out a new Celebrity Gossip/News Site

A couple friends of mine and I put together a celebrity gossip/news “aggregator” – basically, it’s a one-stop shop for news from the more popular celebrity news sites/blogs.

    Check out http://www.enturltainment.com.

    We currently have feeds from:

    A Socialite’s Life
    Gawker
    Defamer
    Jossip
    New York Post
    TMZ.com
    The Superficial
    Egotastic
    JustJared
    Celebspin

    More will be added soon.

You no longer have to visit each site to get caught up on all things-celebrity. Check out http://www.enturltainment.com for all your Brangelina and TomKat news.

If you have suggestions for feeds to add to the site, email racerfan at gmail dot com

A tip of the cap to popurls.com for inspiration.

    Will It Blend

Came across this video on YouTube. That’s what I would like to do a sleeve of golf balls after some of my rounds of golf.

Check out more of their videos at http://www.willitblend.com

Online Poll: Michigan vs. Michigan State

Some of my Sparty friends are already ignoring the game, focusing on the Tigers. Well, I’m a pessimistic Michigan fan (two point conversion, Desmond, tripping, hello?), so “it ain’t over ’til it’s over”

If you’ve read this far, thanks for wasting a few seconds of your life; now please take this poll. I’m testing out an online polling tool and your wasted seconds are helping with my research.

get bent. Hopefully the Spartans share my total rage at the whole situation.

I see Juddy voted twice. There can’t be two people out there who think the Sparties will win, can there?

There’s just too much Lamar, Prescott, Leon “Michael”, Chad, Mario, Steve, et al for The Big Two (John L and Drew) to handle.

Is it true that Kermit the Frog was really not there for Homecoming but is actually the Validictorian of the 06 class?

Don’t the results depend on to whom you sent this? I talk good ’cause I went to State. And Doddsie, there are even people who live in Australia (moi) who believe that the Spartans will win. When asked what the difference is between AFL, rugby, rugby league and US football (gridiron) I always say that we (US) have bigger balls.
      Cheers

This polling tool seems to be working just fine. Only possible downside is that the current set up doesn’t take into account the possibility (remote, I’m sure) that people might vote more than once. In spite of that, the results so far seem about right to me….Sparty on!

    Fire Up, It’s Saturday!!!

Here are a couple of not-so-great videos of the Michigan Marching Band that I shot prior to the game against Vanderbilt. These were both shot using a digital camera, with it’s “short video mode” rather than a full-fledged video camera; hence the resolution and sound aren’t so hot. There’s also no such thing as steady-shot…

Anyway, today’s the Notre Dame, a match-up of two great football programs.

Maybe these videos will inspire you to ignore the family and watch the game. I will be at a buddie’s wedding and he better be saying his “I do” prior to kick-off.

The first video is the U of M Marching Band pre-game entry into the stadium, one of those hair up on the back of my neck moments. Go Blue!

The second video is from the drumline’s pre-game routine outside Revelli Hall, their practice facility.

    Fire Up, It’s Saturday!

    Happy 4th of July

The shuttle Discovery finally took to the skies earlier today.

I never get tired of watching a shuttle launch. And yes, I’m a dork.

    cheers…

Save your fingers, watch the explosions here!

This dude set-up 45,000 bottle rockets, and them lit them off…very sweet (for the 11 year old in me).

Parents, show your kids this video instead of fearing blown off limbs or 3rd degree burns.

Kids, watch the video and enjoy.

Neave Games – Remakes of arcade classics, and I mean classics.

Check out these sweet re-makes of arcade classics such as Asteroids, Frogger, Space Invaders, and more.

How many quarters did I drop at Alligator Alley on these games? All of them, I think.

My best friend Bobby was the MASTER at Asteroids. He could play that game for hours, and often did, as a group of us would essentially “shield” him from the arcade owner, so the guy didn’t figure out that one of his games was tied up all afternoon on a single quarter.

    Digg 3.0 coming on Monday

TechCrunch has a post with screenshots of the next version of Digg.

Very, very cool, with more categories, a bit of Ajax to spiff it up (but not too much they claim), and just a general sense of “growing up.”

    Go check it out, now!

I live and work in North Carolina. Due to sports and Michigan paraphernalia, my children have been curious about U of M. Last fall, we drove up to Ann Arbor (while visiting family), and spent the afternoon there. It was great being back taking in the sights and recalling old memories.
